A member asked:

If i overused claritin (loratadine) d and i am experiencing a drippy nose - should i just stop the claritin (loratadine) d - and that drippy nose should subside?

Likely not: If you have a runny nose due to allergies despite the overuse of claritin-d, it would, in the short term worsen, as the decongestant would be removed.

Unlikely: Over use of Claritin d should not cause a drippy nose. If the nasal symptoms didn't improve with Claritin d, then an alternative diagnosis other than allergy is likely and should be sought..

Drippy nose: Your drippy nose is not from Claritin d, it is from worsening allergies that are no longer responding to Claritin d!. Consult an allergist for a better way to treat your nasal allergies. You probably need a nasal spray to help you.
