Depends on cause: There are both allergic and non-allergic causes of allergic rhinitis, which causes symptoms such as runny nose. If your runny nose is the result of allergies then it should be helpful. However, if your runny nose is the result of an non allergy source than Claritin (loratadine) will not be helpful.

Use claritin (loratadine) d: You can try Claritin (loratadine) d as long as you do not have high blood pressure and chronic prostatitis, it will decongest, it cames as 24 hour or 12 hrs combination.
