Flu: Even though you just had the flu there are many different types of flu virus. The flu vaccine helps you to become immune to the most severe flu viruses affecting the population. It usually takes about 2 weeks from the time you get the flu shot until you start to get some protection from it. It's not a bad idea to get the flu shot especially if you will be traveling.
