Maybe not herpes: It is extremely rare for genital herpes to not respond to valacyclovir (Valtrex). It the drug was just started, it may take a few days for new sores to stop appearing. Otherwise, symptoms not responding to valtrex, or developing while taking the drug, probably are not herpes. Keep taking the drug and check with the doctor.
