Multiple Possib.: You may have a foreign body (particle or otherwise) trapped in or near the eye. Start with a generous rinsing & irrigation with clean water, trying especially to reach the deep pockets at the edges by pulling back the eyelids. If you can, flip the upper eyelid outward & inspect & rinse the back side too. If symptoms persist, you may need allergy eye drops or an antibiotic. See your eye doctor!
