Has your vision been affected? What you have sounds like a condition termed uveitis (or iritis). This is a sterile inflammation inside the eye which can be destructive if not treated. You should see your ophthalmologist quickly to have this diagnosed and treated if it is this condition.

These symptoms are fairly non-specific. They could be caused by conditions that range from dry eyes to a corneal foreign body to a scratch (abrasions) of the cornea to serious infections of the cornea (keratitis) or inflammations within the eye (uveitis). This should be evaluated by an ophthalmologist who can examine your eyes using a slit lamp biomicroscope.
