No & Yes: It is not normal to cough blood. It is not caused by stress. You should be concerned until they find the cause. Some things can be easily overlooked. See a lung doctor. You need a chest X-ray and may be a ct scan of the chest. You might need a direct visual examination of your entire respiratory system.

See another doctor: If everyone who was stressed out coughed up blood we would all be covered with blood. It is not normal for stressed people to cough up blood and you need to be worked up by a competent physician. At the minimum you need a fiberoptic exam of your nose and throat, a good oral exam and a chest x-ray.
