50: The average menopause in the us is 51.3 years old and is associated with an elevated fsh level. 80% of women have associated symptoms like hot flashes, vaginal dryness, fatigue, insomnia, etc. Interesting, 20% of women have no symptoms. Menopause defined: The definition of menopause is the absence of a menstrual cycle for 12 months. This is typically reached around age 51-52.
