Probably: There are many causes of hip pain= osteoarthritis, labral/cartilage tears, hip flexor strains, bursitis, stress fractures & referred pain to the hip area, often from the lumbosacral spine. Stationary bike positioning often puts the hip into a significant amount of flexion, irritating the joint & soft tissues. Consider elevating the seat of the bike to reduce this flexion. See your doc for an eval.

Hip pain: Could have irritation of nerve or tear of labral tissue arround hip. Recommend you followup with orthopaedic surgeon.
