what is the definition or description of: strep throat?

Dr. John McMahan

Strep Throat: It's a throat infection caused by a strep bacteria that responds rapidly to most antibiotics. There can be a number of other bacteria involved in addition to strep so a regular culture (not just a quick strep screen) may be helpful.
