Jaw: You may have an obstruction in a gland, usually it's a stone in a duct. You should see your doc to be evaluated, other things are also possible.

Salivary duct stone: Chewing food causes the salivary glands to make saliva. If there is a small stone obstructing the salivary duct (not uncommon), this saliva backs up and causes the gland to swell. It gradually leaks around the stone in between meals, and the rapid saliva production during the next meal causes the gland to swell again. See an ENT physician to help you with this.

Salivary Gland : Sounds like there is an obstruction of the duct that drains your submandibular salivary gland' most likely cause is a stone in the duct, other possibilities include inflammatory conditions and tumors. You will need to be evaluated by a physician for a definite diagnosis.
