It may: Ginger in general has been used for years in many cultures to treat GI ( stomach complaints) it does have proven medical properties. Ginger ale however may beneficial for different reasons- may help release a gas pocket due to the carbonation. However some report more gas feeling. Its definitely something that is harmless to try.

Sure: Ginger is known to help nausea symptoms. Why not give it a shot. It can't hurt in small amounts.

Ginger tea instead!: Ginger is a wonderful medicinal herb with many benefits including improved digestion- see http://www.Whfoods.Com/genpage.Php?Tname=foodspice&dbid=72 but I do not recommend ginger ale- it is very high in sugars, usually including high fructose corn syrup from gmo sources- something to be avoided at all costs.Brew some fresh ginger tea with lemon & honey- more effective & avoids the toxic chemicals!
