Usually a wen: If there is no other abnormality--no discoloration or skin changes--an isolated pea sized bump on the scalp is usually due to a cyst. These can enlarge and are often irritating. They can easily be removed by a qualified physician.

See a Dermatologist : I recommend that you see a physician it is hard to diagnose skin conditions without examining the patient. This lump can be caused by number of reasons such as cyst, lipoma or some other metabolic and endocrine disorders.
