Fatigue, sore throat: A single, large lymph node on either side of the neck, sleepiness, nausea, loss of appetite and in some extreme cases, viral hepatitis (when mono is from CMV rather than ebv) are common symptoms that i've seen in my practice.

Variable: Fatigue, fever and swollen glands are almost universal. Most get a sore throat. Some get congestion and a cough. Some get nausea and vomiting. The acute phase lasts about 6 weeks but the younger the patient the quicker you feel better.

Here's some: Usually a sore throat, fatigue, fever and swollen lymph nodes in the back of your neck. Mono can mimic many other illnesses including strept throat so if you have many of these symptoms you should get checked by a doctor.
