Reinfection/ relapse: May be related to reinfection or not being fully treated. Some forms have a liver phase and if that is not treated, the infection relapses.

If you have....: .....Malaria, then you are infected with a parasite that will reproduce within your red blood cells. The parasites will periodically burst out of your blood cells and infect other cells. When this happens, you will be quite sick. You need to be working closely with your doctor and very carefully and exactly taking the medicines that are prescribed for this very serious condition. Good luck.

Recurrent Infection: Getting Malaria once does not give you immunity and if you get bit by malaria carrying mosquito you do get reinfected.You should ask your doctor for prophylactic medicine to prevent malaria and use mosquito control and repellents to prevent bites which cause the Malaria
