It seems to be quite: Infective, meaning if you kiss or have sex with a carrier, you are likely to become infected/a carrier yourself. This field is rapidly emerging. The dangerous hpv's are highly infective, but not all go further to cause cancer. But without safe sex practice, an infected person "gives" to all or most partners not engaging is safe sex. And kissing is a means of transmission.

The likelihood of..: getting HPV through kissing is unknown. Transmission rates for sexual activity vary, with studies estimating anywhere from 20 - 70% within 6 months among couples where one person has the virus and the other does not.
