No: Not necessarily, especially if your baby is meeting all of the other developmental milestones on time. Your baby may simply prefer to roll or go straight from sitting to walking to get around. If you are concerned, be sure to check in with your pediatrician to be sure that there are no other developmental delays that would cause concern.

No: Many babies never crawl and go straight to walking. There is no evidence that babies who skip crawling will have motor or developmental delays. What is most important is that babies exhibit some form of movement between 7-10 months old. This could be rolling, scooting, creeping, or crawling. Setting aside tummy time everyday will help your baby strengthen those muscles so he can get moving!

No: Some babies skip the crawling stage, and just start walking at the appropriate time. A child can have a learning disability whether or not he was a crawler. Learning disabilities come in many, many varieties; and they can be hereditary.
