Varied Reasons: The generalized answer is that some meds which we call "lipophilic" meds can cross the blood:brain barrier and affect receptors in the brain. That said, the answer is too simplistic and there are often complicated neurohormonal feedback loops at play. Other meds directly interfere with specific actions necessary to achieve erection though this is a bit less common.
