Internal Fixation: The fastest recovery from a scaphoid fracture will come from getting the bone to heal as quickly as possible. If cast treatment is chosen then using a cast which provides adequate fixation for your fracture is needed. Percutaneous fixation can return a patient to sports more quickly ( see http://www.Youtube.Com/watch?V=gqeygwpnbdg ). Bone growth stimulators may help speed healing.
