Variable: Fastest way is a mri. Otherwise we treat it as a fracture and re xr in 2 weeks and re evaluate to confirm. Fractures may not show up for 2 week on xr.

Xrays, CT: Repeat xrays 10-14 days after the injury, or ct scan immediately will show most scaphoid fractures.
