Antibody Testing: This sounds like a good question. This is the way antibody testing is reported by labs when searching for viral infections. If the antibody response is not acute enough one is not considered to be infected. Any further testing in this case should be based upon risk and recent experience. One can also be tested by searching for the genetic material of the HIV virus instead of antibody testing.
