Yes, allergies can!: Good morning, allergies can cause nose-bleeds because of congestion of the membrane of the nose. However, more often we find that use of decongestants is associated with dryness and separation of cells lining the nose and cause nose bleeds. Use of medications such as Ibuprofen for relief of symptoms is another frequent cause for nose bleeds. Use of humidifiers may help to relieve dryness.
