2 days ago i got2 thin black line beneath my left thumb nail, i go to dermatologist to see if it melanoma.she think the lines too vague that it isnt , she said if it is, it should be thick&darker.t/f?

Injury most likely: A 2 day onset is not usually the case for melanoma. It forms more of a irregular patch or geographic form, rather than a line. Nail (sub-ungual) melanoma is very uncommon, and for a 33 year old would be exceptional. Unless you have some unusual inherited disorder, this is not likely. Maybe it is related to an injury, possible infection, bleeding, etc. Don't worry.

True: Melanoma rarely develops that quickly (in 2 days). A biopsy can always be performed to confirm this.
