It might be the pill: Ask for Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) xr from another company. It could be the filler in the medication that is dissolving too quickly. If this does not work, ask for the name brand.

Depends: You may need to ask provider to write "brand name only" and see if that helps with duration (but more $$), or if need the 12 hours, get your dr to write it for 2x/day. Speak w/your prescriber first.
