DVT prevention: You should def be moving your ankle/ calf/ hip muscles to help maintain muscle tone & blood flow/ decrease your risk for dvt. However, restrictions & recommendations for motion @ the knee will vary based on many factors. Your surgeon should give you info about expected progressions based on their method for the procedure. I usually have patients move the knee as tolerated, & order pt at 4-6 weeks.
