Vicoprofen (hydrocodone and ibuprofen) helps my pain but makes me itch any similar meds?

Many: There are many other pain medications beside the hydrocodone in vicoprofen. Percocet, nucynta, (tapentadol) and Dilaudid would all be good options.

Narcotics/itching: There are two ways to deal with this. One is to change to a different pain medication, and the other is to treat the side effects. If you will only be on vicoprofen for a short while (i.E postoperatively), you might try a small dose of an antihistamine like benadryl (diphenhydramine). This will make you sleepy, so watch out for that, but it should help. Otherwise, try an oxycodone pain medicine.
