YES: One of the advantages vegetarianism is that eating fruits and vegetables tends to make the body more alkaline. Being alkaline helps the liver detox as it requires base to neutralize acids, which it primarily does at night . This is why checking first morning urine ph is the most critical as it shows much reserve is left over (if any). However, one may need a complete protein and B12 supplement.
