for a child how long does a fracture in the big toe take to heal?

4-6 weeks: That is the "normal" time range, but kids tend to heal faster. If there really is a fracture, it's best to get an x-ray and make sure there is not any joint involvement. The big toe joints are really important in walking and running!

4-6 weeks: As long as the bone fragments are well aligned, it should take 4 - 6 weeks for the bone to heal.

6 weeks: For bone to heal if properly immobilized. Soft tissue swelling will most likely take a lot longer to completely resolve.
