My 78 year old mother has a clicking sound in her head what could that be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tinnitus: Tinnitus is a common symtpom in older adults. It may present as ringing, rushing, or any sound. It is often benign and may be more prominent in those with a hearing problem. Most people should see an ENT doctor to further determine wher the problem stems from and if there is treatment. Sometimes a hearing aide helps to mask the extra sounds if there is a deficit.
