Difficult to say: It is difficult to say why your back is hurting without examination and detailed history, whether there is any trauma, any coexisting condition, and responce to any over the counter meds meanwhile you may try Ibuprofen or naprosyn (naproxen) to see IG it can give you any relief from pain.
