Spinal headache: This is a spinal headache. The small hole in the covering of the nerves and spinal cord that allowed the doctor to get the fluid is stil leaking. The headache is worse when you head is up and better when your are down. Try caffeine or have your doctor give you medicean that contains a barbiturate. If these fail you may need a blood patch.

POST LP HA: Unfortunately, spinal fluid continues to leak through to needle insertion site, causing an orthostatic headache, and this is not uncommon.. Fastest way to reverse is to have an anesthesiologist or your own doctor perform a blood patch which is a simple procedure, and takes only a few minutes. The results are dramatic.
