Common: Cramping in the 1st trimester without any bleeding or spotting is common, and not typically a sign that anything is wrong. Sharp pains originating from your uterus are not common, but again not necessarily a sign that the pregnancy is abnormal. However constipation is very common in pregnancy, and can explain both the cramping and sharp pains.
