Re-evaluation: If a person is treated with an antibiotic and fails to have a good response, that should cause suspicion that there is a complication, the diagnosis was incorrect or there is more than 1 problem occurring. There are many causes of cough and while Azithromycin is effective at treating atypical pneumonia, it would not be helpful if the cause was cardiac, asthma, etc.
