Runny nose and itch: The symptoms of runny nose, sneezing and itching are consistent with allergies. The ear discomfort that comes with sneezing can be seen with "eustachian tube dysfunction" where nasal congestion leads to poor functioning of the tube connecting the middle ear to the throat. Once the congestion is relieved, so will the ear pain. An allergist can assist in identifying the trigger of the symptoms.
