It depends: It all depends on the type of chemotherapy and what we call the medication half life. Generally speaking, most drugs get washed from the body after 5 half lives but it could be longer for certain drugs. Affects of the drugs can definitely last longer. Certain drugs like zometa, although not chemo, can stay for many many years.
