Work up and evaluate: This is highly unusual and one must first determine if this is due to a direct injury to the palate or referred pain from another location. This may require some time to determine but diagnostic nerve blocks may help. Some patients are more prone to a trigeminal neuralgia type pain and may require extensive treatments to see improvement. It is best to discuss with e surgeon who knows the procedure.

See her doctor: The symptoms your friend is describing are not typical after facelift. Your friend should see both her surgeon and a neurologist.

Facelift pain: The symptoms are unlikely to be related to the facelift. Your friend should see a neurologist for a diagnosis.

Pain in the mouth: Pain in the roof of the mouth is not usually associated with face lift surgery. It is common to have occasional headaches. Pain in the face may be the normal healing process or may require treatment i would encourage your friend to see her surgeon.
