Chronic sinusitis: True sinus infections requiring antibiotics are relatively rare compared to the number of people who have sinus irritation. Often, symptoms can be related to allergies, dry air or other irritants to the mucosal lining of the sinuses. If you have chronic sinus problems, it best to consult an ear, nose an throat specialist to consider the underlying causes of your infection/inflammation.
