OTC or Rx: There are many prescription anti-inflammatory medications, in quite a few different classes of chemical composition. If you want an otc medicine, i recommend aleve (naproxen) for my patients. You can take a maximum if 1500mg per day in divided doses.

Varies: It varies a little bit, medications can affect people differently. Among the strongest prescription antiinflammatroies is. Medication known as toradol, which is available in pills or injection. With nonprescription antiinflammataories, it vries a lot. Many people like naprosyn (naproxen) or Ibuprofen products as well as any others. Thank you for the question.
