Gastritis: Yes thats the point of the medication it decreases the acid so you can heal but . . . Take in the am before breakfast one daily don't skip and take for at least 6-8 weeks!

Gastritis: Yes Nexium (esomeprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor designed to reduce acid production in stomach and facilitate healing of gastritis and ulcers. May want to be checked for h. Pylori, a bacteria associated with gastritis, ulcers and other stomach related issues.
