Dietician: I would highly recommend dietary/nutrition counseling by a nutritionist that specializes in diabetes. It is totally worth it and your insurance will likely cover the cost.

Ada diet: Can search for ada diet or mayo clinic diabetic diet books- lots of great information. Or can ask for referral to district dietician, which can be very helpful.
