Gently after 2 month: For 6 months after this surgery, i would avoid lifting weights to avoid increasing intra-abdominal pressure where you are healing from surgery. Walking and level, gentle cycling woud be safer exercise after you have healed and are cleared by you surgeon (6 to 12 weeks post-op). Suspension training (trx) limits mass moved in a workout to body weight--a safe alternative that will tone you well.
