RA test: This test measures rheumatoid factor, which is an antibody in the blood that's present in many people with ra. It is not absolutely diagnostic as it is only positive is 70-80% RA patients. A positive test may also indicate a different rheumatologic disorder. The normal range is determined by the lab and is usually <10, when measured in units.

Test for RA: The rheumatoid factor is a screening test for RA but is relatively nonspecific. The ccp antibody is a better test to help diagnose rheumatoid arthritis. A rheumatoid factor above 150 is highly suggestive of ra.
