Family practice: Takes at least 6 weeks to heal. But should have x-ray to confirm healing.

GO back to your coc: The dr. That put the cast on your fracture has an obligation to take the cast off. That being said, it generally takes 4 - 6 weeks for the bone to heal. Usually your dr. Will have you return for follow up x-rays to determine how well the fracture is healing. Without x-ray vision, it is difficult to tell how well the bone is healing.
