A member asked:

I have a close friend and she using alliance diet pills to lose weight. is that healthy as being a diabetic? just want to be on a safe side.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not helpful: Since that medication is over the counter, who knows what's in it. There is no nonprescription weight loss pill that has been shown to be effective in scientific trials. They are also not evaluated by the fda. Could they be harmful? Sure. More importantly, they won't be helpful. The only thing that will lose weight is your wallet.
