Exercise weight: Treadmill exercise if done about 3 miles with no elevation will lose about 300 calories and if not compensated by extra eating will lose about 3 lbs a month it is good to exercise and watch intake increasing intensity of exercise by increasing elevation and speed will help.

Probably, but...: 50 minutes of cardiovascular exercise a day is a great start. It will increase your body's use of glucose and increase fitness. However, weight is a function of the number of calories you take in as well as those you burn. If you increase the amount you eat because you work-up an appetite you may not lose weight. A healthy diet is an important part of the process. Remember to talk to your pcp!
