Not normal: You need lab tests including liver function tests and amylase/ lipase to ensure that there are noresidual stone blockages or pancreas inflamation.

It should: Some patients feel great right away after gb surgery while others take a while to recover. Sometimes it was something else that was making you sick and not the gallbladder in the first place(esp if you did not have stones). You should follow up with your doctor/surgeon. You may require an upper endoscopy or consider h. Pylori infestation of the stomach.
