Yes: Both thorazine and reglan (metoclopramide) are treatments for hiccups. Would start with one or the other, probably reglan (metoclopramide) (fewer side effects) in a low dose such as 5 or 10 mg three times per day. If reglan (metoclopramide) ineffective could try thorazine or possibly Compazine

Talk to doctor: This may be helpful for hiccups due to an irritated diaphragm, and won't pose a problem with his diabetes, but this should be discussed with and prescribed by your doctor. In rare cases, hiccups could be due to other issues as well, such as infection, hyperventilation, inflammation, etc. It is best for you to have him see the doctor to ensure it's not from some other cause. Best wishes.

Maybe. : If he has been evaluated by a healthcare provider and these meds were prescribed for him yes. I see no reason with the dx you give why he could not. If these are someone else's meds which worked for them and they think they will help him then no. Hope this helps. Best of luck. Dr. R
