This may be trauma: This could be due to canal trauma - how do you clean and why? Most of the time you do not need to remove all wax from the canal and it is in there to provide protection.

Too vigorous: The skin on the inside of the ear canal is excruciatingly thin and vulnerable. You should use nothing other than a wet washcloth and your index finger to clean your ear. Any instrument can lacerate the tissue. That said, a hemangioma-a small tumor of blood vessels-could easily bleed with minimal provacation. Your doctor can look inside with a 'scope and tell you if there is a bleeding site
