No Q-Tips in Ear: Never put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear. :-) In other words, don't use Q--Tips inside your ear. They usually pack wax in more than remove it, and can be very irritating, which is probably why you noticed swipes of blood on them. Leave your ear alone. If you develop ear pain, discharge, decreased hearing, or persistent bleeding, seek medical attention asap. Take Care!
