Stones, ovary, ..: Pain" near the appendix"may arise from the ovary, abdominal muscles, terminal ileum, colon. Ureters etc. You can have stool or stones in the appendix that can irritate but not cause "appendicitis" yet, kidney stones may cause pain, ovarian cysts. Your physician can help sort this out with careful history and tests. A general surgeon can directly address appendicitis.
